Divorce Recovery
Support Groups
Divorce Recovery has been helping local families going through a divorce or separation for over 40 years. We offer a variety of support groups for adults and families.
A $70 donation per group is encouraged, but no one is ever turned away due to inability to pay. Scholarships are available.
Divorce Recovery I
DRI focuses on the beginning of the “endings” process. Through participation in the group process, handouts, and leader presentations, participants will gain a better understanding of the divorce transition journey. It is here where participants share their challenges, losses, and grief in a safe, confidential, and nurturing place. Participants will work on saying goodbye to their relationship and gain strength and hope as they move through this transition. Groups are once a week from 6:30-8pm for 8 weeks, in-person at our main office: 4301 E. 5th Street 85711.

Divorce Recovery II
DRII is known as “The Transition Journey: The Neutral Zone.” The focus of this group is letting go and saying goodbye to the relationship by looking deeper at the relationship and deeper into yourself. The group process helps individuals gain insight and skills on the questions of, “Who am I now and where am I going?” Using a workbook, handouts, leader presentations, and group discussions, individuals will become empowered to face their new life with hope and confidence. Completion of Divorce Recovery I is highly suggested. Groups are once a week from 6:00-8:00pm for 9 weeks.

Children of Divorce & Changing Families
Twice a year Divorce Recovery offers CODCF. These groups assist all family members in the difficult transition through separating and/or divorce. This is an 8 week group for children and one parent. Age-appropriate activities are offered to children (3-18) while the parent attends an adult group to help facilitate open communication among family members and help guide the family through the process of change. The primary goals of the group are to help parents and children establish better communication and to be able to talk more effectively about the divorce transition and the losses they are experiencing. In addition, we aim to help parents develop skills to assist in this transition. This group is offered in the spring and fall.
